Coin Purse

I started stitching this little purse at Nundle on our first night there. We were all a little excited and no one wanted to go to bed early.

I think there a rule - that you can't go to bed before midnight, when you are having a sleep over LoL

I had most of the stitchery finished before we left, I just needed to finish off the centre this week before putting it together.
Opps, should have given it an iron first before taking the picture....

As i was attaching the zipper to the linen I realised I hadn't finished the flowers on the shoes - I nearly didn't fix it, but I'm so glad I did it looks so much better!

I'm really happy with how it turned out - not bad for a first attempt at putting in a zipper!

More TTS Progress..

With the children on school holidays, it's amazing how quickly I manage to get my jobs done once I get home from work.. No running sporty here and Chicka there and back again.

So with all that spare time I have managed to sit and get a few blocks done for my TTS quilt

Harry Potter....

We are huge Harry Potter fans in this house, so before the exhibition finished at the Powerhouse Museum on the
9th April we headed to Sydney.

We left home early to our first fog of the year........ means winter is on its way brrrrr

We had a family picture before heading in - how exciting!
It looks like we are in the great hall.

Unfortunately you were not allowed to take photo's inside the exhibition, but I did manage to get a quick picture just as we were leaving the souvenir store.
(Sporty was soooo embarrassed - but that's what mums are for LoL)

The exhibition was fantastic! I was amazed to see so much detail in all the wands and the dress robes worn by some of the main characters - the movies really don't do them justice.

We spent a couple of hours wandering around and looking at all the items. On our way out the night bus turned up ..... Chicka was ready to go for a spin!

My adventures with Peg and Dale

After meeting Peg and Dale at the pub for lunch and having a quick chat at nibbles on the lawn, I was lucky enough to spend a little more time with them as we walked to the restaurant for dinner.

First the girls wanted to stop off at the local park for some fun......

The race was on ............ Ready, Set ...........

GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the winner is Peg....................

I think the girls were a little hungry ....... Do you think we should have a BBQ tonight or go out???

I don't think we have time for a swim before dinner girls............

Mmmmmmm........Dinner

The girls found time to fit in a bit of sewing after dinner........................

before finding a place to roost for the night...............

I had such a great time getting to know you lovely chickens, hopefully it will be in person really soon!

GDITC 2012

Finally it was here! It was time to head off to Susan's and throw all my stuff into her car and head off to Nundle. I was soooo excited I could hardly sleep on Thursday night!

The country side along the way looks amazing at the moment after all the rain.....  and I was so well behaved on the trip - I didn't once ask her "Are we there yet"?

We had a great trip and arrived in plenty of time, we stopped for a quick photo shoot LoL before we headed off for our lunch date with Sam and the other bloggers we were meeting for the first time.

After lunch we headed out to meet Kerry, to do some much needed retail therapy - well I need too, not to sure about my friends, they were very well behaved!

This would be our home for the next few days

The afternoon saw us sharing some bubbles on the lawn with our new friends.... we even met Peg and Dale!

A little bit of show and tell from Sam and the other girls.

It was a great first day... Thankyou to everyone for making me feel so welcome.

My Boy xxxx

Last night saw my handsome son partner a beautiful young lady for her Debutant.
Sporty has known this lovely young lady since they were babies, for me it was a perfect match - they are always acting just like siblings.
It was a lovely night shared with both his grandmothers and his favourite Aunt.
Sporty was really nervous about the dance (it was the pride of Erin, with a modern twist) - but he had nothing to worry about, they did a great job and I was extremely proud of how my boy went about his responsibilities.

Next it was the parents turn to dance with their children. I only made one mistake, not bad for someone who hadn't practiced  :)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, spent surrounded by the ones you love!!

A little bit of progress

I have been slowly making some progress on my SKoW quilt.

I do love a hot Chocolate, especially in this wet weather

and a good book to read... for me these to go hand in hand

Unfortunately in my rush to get this block done, I miss read the number of DMC thread I was meant to use for the name of the book. I used 3012 when I should have used 3021 an easy mistake to make I keep telling myself : ) - I think this will be tonight's project!

I have also finished stitching another block from my TTS quilt

Opps sorry not sure what happened here - doesn't want to change direction for some reason

Have a great week, Until Next Time - Happy Stitching xox
